  • Responsibilities

    The Regional Property Manager will be responsible for the maintenance, regulatory compliance, and tenant relations aspects of our properties. The ideal candidate must have excellent accountability, communication, organization, negotiation, and supervisory skills. Primary properties are in Baton Rouge and Hammond, with additional properties in New Orleans. Time would be spent primarily in Baton Rouge with occasional travel to Hammond, with remote work possible. Responsibilities: • Managing the overall day-to-day operations of the primary sites as well as the oversight of regional sites • Interviewing and hiring all property employees and developing and maintaining solid employee retention practices • Implementing standard operating procedures • Supervising property managers and staff • Supervising day-to-day maintenance operations (safety, preventive maintenance, unit turnover) • Ensuring compliance with regulatory agency building codes • Managing relationships and addressing any issues that may arise with outside vendors, architects, engineers, industry professionals, tenants, and internal colleagues • Working with the staff to ensure all vacant units are up to code and ready for lease-ups and move-ins • Supervising/coordinating move-ins and move-outs • Coordinating maintenance projects needed to bring or keep the property up to code • Conducting annual unit inspections to ensure compliance • Oversee property operations and leasing teams • Interface and communicate with tenants as well as troubleshoot and resolution of any issues that may occur • Ensure all assets are well maintained Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in property management • Previous supervisory experience (office and maintenance staff) • Proficiency with MS Office suite - Outlook, Word, and Excel • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must • Must be able to work both independently and with a team • Must be able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment • Familiarity with housing laws Compensation: $60,000 yearly
