    Job Description

    Staff Accountant The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting management and tax compliance in the Company's Corporate Office for its North American Business activities. Key responsibilities include partnering with all levels of management to comply with US and foreign accounting and tax compliance requirement, month-end close, and other related process, including monthly reconciliations, financial and tax planning, and other ad hoc analysis. Your Tasks * General accounting and General Ledger responsibility for smaller standalone US Subsidiary. * Assist in preparation and coordination of annual financial statement audit. * Evaluate and review accounting and tax related procedures, processes and controls to ensure accurate financial reporting. * Preparing and filing government census reporting. * Manage external tax advisors to ensure timely filings for all US tax returns and sign off on returns prepared by external advisors. * Assist with the preparation of information of the federal and state income tax returns completed by external tax advisors. * Assist with/Coordinate federal, state, and local tax notice and audit, ensuring timely completion while minimizing tax assessments and optimizing professional fees. * Working with financial reporting manager to complete quarterly ASC 740 or FAS 109 calculation. * Managing local sales and use tax requirements, including interaction with customers and suppliers to ensure proper compliance. * Preparing and filing annual property tax returns. * Ensure the proper, accurate and complete reporting of foreign transactions under applicable US rules. * Staying current on regulations and changes to internal Revenue Code, U.S. Treasury regulations. * Perform tax research and draft memorandums on various federal, state, and local tax issues. * Assist in development and implementation of US Federal and State and Local tax planning strategies. * Analyze financial data and create reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties. * Maintain accurate and complete financial records. * Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance personnel. Your Profile * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area. * At least 3-5 years Public Accounting experience. * Tax and Financial Accounting: at least 3-5 years of experience. * Manufacturing experience highly desired. * Tax Compliance experience preferred. * Strong computer skills, Excel a must (SAP experience highly preferred). * Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management. * Knowledge of accounting for income tax (ASC 740) and income tax compliance reporting * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent planning/organizing, scheduling/monitoring skills. * Highly self-motivated and efficient. * Proactively builds professional relationships with other departments/personnel. * Display exemplary ethical behavior when working with confidential financial documents. * Ability to manage deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment.
