Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Engineer at Roo Money located in Lindon, UT. The Software Engineer will be responsible for full stack software development. We write clean well tested code. This position would involve working with two other engineers, and occasionally one of the founders.

Compensation

We are finishing up our second round of funding so compensation is a combination of equity and salary depending on experience. We usually give people a sliding scale when picking their salary. More salary = less equity and vice versa.

For what its worth when people see the potential upside of what we are doing every person has taken the maximum amount of equity offered. This startup has an unusual amount of upside potential, even for a startup. If we get to the point where we are making you an offer we are happy to walk you through the logic to support that claim, so you can decide for yourself. This position will have 60-120k potential salary.

Do you do remote or hybrid work?

We believe in reasonable flexibility, but for the most part this is not a remote position.

Would you consider someone fresh out of college or with very little experience?

Sure we would consider everyone. If you are driven, a hard worker, and want to make a difference in the world lets talk. Realistically you might have to level up a little bit, or demonstrate your ability to level up, before we could serious consider taking you on.

Do you offer benefits?

Not at this point , but getting great benefits while at a startup isn't as hard as people think. Most of us have families and in many cases have way better health insurance than we've ever had. We can walk you through how that works though.
