    This role is responsible for developing strategy that increases Starz Entertainment (STE) subscribers and revenue through collaborative implementation of partnership marketing campaigns, execution of marketing strategy and point-of-sale initiatives. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and project multi-tasking skills, as well as the ability to analyze multiple data points to develop insights and make innovative recommendations leading to increased revenue and subscribers. The ideal candidate for this position will work with the VP of Distribution to develop strategies based on real-time data and take full ownership for the execution of assigned projects, working both independently and with a team. A sense of ownership, collaboration across multiple departments and comfort within a high pressured environment are critical. This role requires a creative perspective with regard to brand elements and the ability to suggest changes & improvements to marketing materials in order to achieve promotional goals.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

     

    • Collaborates with distribution team to develop, execute, and analyze marketing plans and materials to ensure revenue and subscriber growth and expansion of company products and/or services with affiliated vMVPDs, OTT and Mobile Distributors
    • Maintain constant awareness of the direction and manage status of all projects, including anticipating needs and conflicts that unexpectedly evolve
    • Must be problem solver and able to work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple accounts that are instrumental to the growth of the company
    • Effectively work with Affiliates, agencies, all levels of the Affiliate Sales team and internal departments
    • Exhibit strong communication skills by successfully providing counsel to Affiliate/ STE Sales team on proper tactical mix/creative direction, executing that direction with creative teams, and proactively relating project status to stake holders
    • Monitor and analyze performance data and work flows making recommendations for improvements and better results with all partners
    • Exhibit a keen eye when looking creative materials and discern what changes & improvements need to be made in order to reach promotional goals
    • Track subscriber growth and marketing campaign results and forecasts to ensure revenue growth and campaign goals are achieved and exceeded
    • Consistent analysis of Starz-branded content on all partner access points to ensure our content is on brand and consistent with company priorities
    • Part of the day to day team that ensures marketing assets are delivered to customers on time and with appropriate approvals, managing each item (key art, video, images, mail piece, newsletter, etc) through the internal work flow process and communicating to relevant teams on the status of the deliverable
    • Serve as operational liaison for affiliate technical requests, STE service launches and other requests
    • Work closely with internal digital, operations, and consumer marketing teams to collaborate on marketing assets in order to maximize promotion of key programming initiatives
    • Maintain knowledge of affiliate environment, market conditions, and competitive situations to help develop and drive new strategies for growth

     

     

    Required Skills

     

     

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing preferred
    • Three years related experience; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OTT experience preferred
    • Experience in cable, satellite, telecommunications or entertainment industry a plus
    • Experience with a marketing or advertising creative agency
    • Minimum 1-year experience with digital, social media, and partnership campaign marketing
    • High attention to detail and can effectively review affiliate created marketing materials and web- sites and clearly communicate feedback
    • Account service oriented – high level of responsiveness is expected. Strong relationship building and maintaining skill set required
    • Understand Industry/competitive environment and be knowledgeable of Affiliate goals and product packaging
    • Proficiency to be strategic, manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
    • Client services and project management
    • Proven communication skills – oral, written and presentation
    • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point. Also experienced in Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Mail Chimp & Exact Target, Google Analytics, Tableau. Comfortable learning proprietary software solutions
