State Cashmere is looking for a hard-working, fast-moving, style-obsessed copywriter to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate has a keen understanding of digital media and is a true wordsmith who has experience creating fresh copy across a wide variety of projects, including but not limited to video scripts to complex website redesigns, from killer headlines to D2C emails.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing a deep understanding of the State Cashmere brand to ensure the right message and execution for each medium. Adjusting your tone to suit your audience.
- Brainstorming rich creative concepts, pitching them, and executing them through a variety of different channels.
- Work on branding projects and product-focused initiatives.
- Work closely with videographers, photographers, designers, and performance marketing teams, as well as contractors and talent where needed. Also, work independently at times.
- Work with different departments to understand and execute on the business needs and objectives.
- Present your work, pitching and selling your ideas with both enthusiasm and clarity.
- Continue to learn and to grow as a professional and as a creative.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience as a copywriter, ideally in-house (or at agency).
- Experience writing for apparel, lifestyle, or CPG brands is a huge plus.
- Someone who loves words and wields them well. Storytelling is your forte, yet you appreciate brevity and can skillfully execute on it.
- A versatile writer who has experience with—or is eager to learn—both advertising and branding. You can also execute across platforms and tailor your copy accordingly.
- You can work both independently and collaboratively, and you're a stickler for details and deadlines.
