Social Media Coordinator / Communications Specialist 3 Job ID66959
Job Description
The position is responsible for the independent planning and day-to-day coordination of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s social media presence, recognizing what is newsworthy and of interest to DPS’ diverse audiences; identifying issues and opportunities to engage with the agency’s social media communities; developing ideas for social media ads; monitoring the agency’s social media accounts; and tracking other social media platforms with which DPS’ audiences interact.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
At least an associate's degree in communications or related field and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in managing and writing for multiple social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Physical Requirements
Very Light: Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
