POSITION SUMMARY:
Ballard is looking for a Senior Estimator who will lead and collaborate on bid/proposal preparation, negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors and work closely with design teams LOCATED OUT OF OUR BENICIA, CALIFORNIA OFFICE!

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the following key areas:
Required Skills
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as lead estimator, oversee project estimates, and technical proposals to ensure a quality, accurate and timely submission.
Perform material take-offs, organize pre-bid data, research past costs and develop construction sequence.
Cultivate strong business relationships with industry clients, owners, subcontractors and internal corporate entities.
Performs site visits and investigations as needed.
Produces pre-bid construction documents, questions, bond/insurance requests and project schedules.
Conduct constructability studies and provide relevant technical solutions to our clients.
Presents estimate quantities, rationale, and work-plan to management during bid reviews.
Manages and facilitates formulation of bid phase project risk registers.
Organizes and conducts handoff of project to operations when awarded.
Attend and engage in internal management meetings
Prepare and assist with presentations and departmental strategic plans
Support business development and tradeshow efforts as needed (technical committee participation)
Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend meetings, site visits, training, etc.
