    Job Description

    Statewide Funding is growing and looking for a Mortgage Post Closer to join our team!

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review the closed loan files to determine if the loan meets company and investor guidelines prior to shipping the file to an investor
    • Works with various parties (internal and external) to obtain needed documentation to cure/resolve all items that affect the insurability/salability of the loan in a timely manner
    • Responsible for making sure files are in purchasable condition and shipped prior to the lock expiration date
    • Run/pull daily investor suspense reports identifying any conditions that affect the investor purchase
    • Create and maintain a pipeline report to ensure all loans shipped are either conditioned or purchased in a timely manner, what items as missing or needing correcting, and the expected loan purchase date
    • Assist in registering loans on MERS at month end
    • Log all documentation received and upload all suspense documentation received promptly to the investor
    • Monitor daily condition reports from the investor for updates on suspended loans or new conditions as received
    • Meet monthly purchased loan goals as determined by management
    • Avoid suspense fees incurring on loans by meeting investor guidelines
    • Prepare and provide post-closing disclosures and refund checks as needed, following regulatory guidelines
    • Receive daily incoming trailing documents through various sources, scan documents into LOS system, and upload them to the applicable investor
    • Reconcile reports provided from Investors to LOS system and address any discrepancies
    • Assist other departments such as Funding and Processing based upon the amount of loan production
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Strong aptitude for detail, accuracy and organization
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work in a high-volume environment
    • 3+ years recent funding experience
    • Must have experience funding Conventional and Government loans
    • Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)
