Set up injection molding machines and related equipment to achieve good quality products, and production standard efficiency
Troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Complete weekly, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance work as outlined
Control downtime by informing production of mechanical issues and preventive maintenance scheduling Verify each individual machine is ready for production at starting time
Contribute to team effort and demonstrates responsibility and initiative by completing job assignments efficiently
Maintain daily records of molding setup and operations
Recommend process improvement
Experience Requirements:
5+ years injection molding experience required
Mechanical experience a plus
Experience in welding, plumbing, and facilities maintenance desirable.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Writing and reading skills.
Job skills:
Knowledge of Plastics, Rubber, and Urethane machines.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanics and electrical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanics and electrical systems.
Ability to perform production set ups of plastics, rubber, and urethane machines and molds.
Ability to read and follow mechanical and electrical schematics.
