    OVERVIEW

    The Programs and Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting Station's Director, Community Engagement, Partnerships, and Education to help execute high-impact promotions, programs and events. Working directly with the Station team, you will demonstrate the vision, mission, goals and core values of Station Houston while helping us inspire, educate and empower entrepreneurs on their journey to build innovative tech companies. This role empowers you to influence the processes and tools we leverage to make Station successful. To succeed in this role, rolling up your sleeves, digging into problems, and learning how to solve a problem and improve upon existing solutions is a must.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Programs & Events Support:

    • Assist Director of Community Engagement, Partnerships, and Education with planning of all programs and events, including development of new educational opportunities
    • Help execute logistics for meetings, programs and events, including, but not limited to: procuring catering, event space reservations, set-up and management of audio/visual equipment, set-up and clean-up of spaces before and after events, moderation of recurring events, checking-in event participants, and other items as needed
    • Monitor and direct event inquiries, and work with Director, Community Engagement, Partnerships, and Education to determine appropriate fit of events for Station's member community
    • Assist with event coordination and communications, including tracking and managing space availability, agreements, budget, expenses, invoicing, and event management tools/platforms
    • Assist with monitoring, tracking and reporting on event and programs metrics and Key Performance Indicators, including attendance, sales, revenue, and costs
    • Maintain Station's calendar of events and promote events in a cohesive manner consistent with Station Houston branding across all of Station's marketing and communications platforms
    • Work with team to execute community outreach and social media campaigns to drive event outreach and attendance
    • Execute video recording, audio recording, live-streaming, and coordinate with PR and Social Media Coordinator for online publishing of events and programs across social media platforms
    • Daily backup responsibilities for front desk
    • Liaison for externally hosted events including meetups, accelerator cohorts, and other partners operating out of Station space
    • Other duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelors Degree
    • 1-3 years of related experience
    • Strong attention detail
    • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
    • Charismatic and personable
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
