    Job Description

    As part of the Trading and Origination team, the Trading Analyst / Trader / Portfolio Manager will be an integral member of the environmental commodity trading team, primarily responsible for creating and owning key tools used for the day-to-day trading and management of the portfolio.  This role will support the group’s origination team and portfolio manager(s) with trade execution, fundamental market analysis, trade settlement, risk reporting, and deal entry. This candidate should have a strong analytical background, preferably with experience within a commodity and/or financial market.

    Responsibilities:

    ·       Trade execution on the various commodity exchanges

    ·       Deal entry management of both exchange and bilateral transactions

    ·       Creation, ownership, and automation of dashboards/tools used to support the day-to-day management of the portfolio

    ·       Fundamental analysis of US environmental markets

    ·       Research and feedback to the team any movements or changes to relevant policy, product, and market developments

    ·       Contribute to the strategy, structuring, and pricing of carbon and REC deals

    ·       Support transactions from deal closing through settlement, including registry of transfers and invoice settlements

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    ·       1-5 years of relevant work experience

    ·       Previous experience within any environmental, commodity, or financial market

    ·       Understanding of applied and financial mathematics concepts and techniques

    • Ability to understand and quickly navigate fundamental industry concepts including energy commodity/regulatory markets, portfolio valuation

    ·       Minimum of college degree

    ·       Experience in presenting (internal or external)

    • Intellectually curious
    • High level of personal integrity
