    We are looking for an Information Systems Technical Director to join our Pipeline Team. This role is primarily focused on building, maintaining, and supporting internal Web pages, Databases, and API’s relate to our DCC’s for Production and HR workflows. You will work closely with the Pipeline Team to uphold and contribute to our technical best practices, coding standards, and culture. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Web Development best practices, Autodesk’s ShotGrid software, including its Python API, advanced configuration, and how to extend its baseline functionality to support new workflows. 

    Responsibilities

    • Build, maintain and support databases related to staff and production info.
    • Build, maintain and support internal Web pages for production.
    • Build, maintain and support API’s for Slack, Productive, JIRA, Shotgrid, and Plastic.
    • Provide ShotGrid support and workflow enhancements for production teams within Creative Development, Sound, Animation, and Video based on requirements/priorities gathered in collaboration with the Production Team.
    • Work closely with HR, HOD’s, Supervisors, and Pipeline TDs to ensure any new workflows, tools, configuration changes, or other modifications for Production or Operations play nicely with other systems.
    • Foster a positive working environment and collaborative team culture within the Pipeline Team and staff across the facility.
    • Ensure that everything we do is in line with our Mission Statement and speak out when and if we stray.
    • Maintain and improve upon our existing code base and develop new libraries and tools as necessary.
    • Contribute to the testing, releasing, and support of our software and technology.
    • Attend pipeline/sprint meetings as required.
    • Write end-user and developer documentation for tools.
    • Help to mentor our Junior and Pipeline Technical Directors by running code reviews, peer programming sessions, and teaching them how to design a project.
    • Spend a proportion of your time improving your knowledge and skills in line with goals set with your manager.
    • Understand the needs of content creation teams and translate them into intelligently scoped development projects.
    • Collaborate with IT staff to meet studio infrastructure requirements.
    • Collaborate with Artists, Developers and Infrastructure teams to design workflow solutions and solve production challenges.
    • Test and validate tools and techniques – ensure ongoing research to aid in recommendations for improvement of workflows for increased productivity and communication.
    • Ensure coding standards are maintained via peer programming and code review sessions.

    Requirements
