As a Technical Artist you will document and support the game art pipelines and techniques used by the production teams on the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Share his/her experience and help the less experienced members of the team.
Provide documentation of the art processes and assist in defining the art pipeline within the assigned project.
Setting up workflows of art production.
Supporting artists and engineers in the 3D art pipeline.
Assisting in asset performance and validation.
Report technical and performance issues to the development team.
Assist in solving complex technical issues with the development team.
Decide on what software and tools are required for the project.
Port finished art to game engines.
Ensure final art runs to full visual resolution.
Enforce standards as outlined by heads of departments.
Possess versatile knowledge within the game engine.
Optimize environments and establishing physics barriers.
Prepare and designing systems within the engine such as skeletons, cloths, effect emitters and ragdoll collision.
Research and work with up-to-date systems within the engine.
Research and oversee the implementation of rendering techniques.
Research and develop advanced shaders and materials.
Resolve material errors and collision issues.
Maintain technical documentation.

Knowledge of standard office software such as Word, Excel, OneNote etc.
Knowledge of industry standard software packages such as Maya, 3DSMax, Photoshop etc.
Interest and basic knowledge in scripting and programming using Max Script, Python, C Sharp etc.
Good time management and prioritization skills.
Technical proficiency in areas of 2D and 3D art.
Understanding of art asset pipelines.
Ability to understand and communicate technical issues from an aesthetic point of view.
