Steeplechase Academy in south Kansas City is seeking a dedicated Developmental Preschool Teacher for our unique and exciting dual-language Montessori school serving infants through sixth graders. We value our educators as the foundation of our school, and we are looking for a teacher who can create a safe and well-maintained environment while demonstrating strong leadership and enthusiasm. Our ideal candidate will be well-versed in Montessori pedagogy, able to guide students to discover and achieve their full potential. Qualifications include effective communication with administrators, parents, and students, as well as the ability to adapt to unexpected situations. Fluency in a second language is a plus, and experience in early childhood education or a related degree is welcomed. Responsibilities: • Montessori Guides; teachers are responsible for guiding students to explore activities, keeping all materials clean and organized • Communication with parents, administration, and peers • Supervise students • Engage positively in the classroom • Adhere to the classroom's daily schedules Qualifications: • A background in an educational setting is beneficial but not necessary • Positive communicator • Able to follow a provided daily schedule for the students • Reliable worker to create a consistent routine for the students • Must be able to pass a mandatory background screening • Annual professional development required Compensation: $15 - $20 hourly
