    We are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist our clients. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines. You’ll also assist with preparing legal documents and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. Responsibilities: Process client billing properly using daily time records with help from the accounting department Accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly • Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with professional offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines • Assist clients or potential clients with scheduling appointments or initial consultations, while providing great customer service • Organize and maintain the calendars for various staff members to ensure all appointments are correctly and promptly added • Draft and proofread legal documents and forms for accuracy and consistency, including but not limited to deeds, leases, wills, powers of attorney, trusts, and asset lists • Perform general operational tasks including but not limited to answering the phone and forwarding messages, copying, scanning, mailings, and postage, assisting drop-in clients, filing paperwork, handling voice mail messages, etc., all according to Firm policies and procedures • Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction by responding in a timely manner to all client calls, questions, or inquiries • Be proactive and ensure client issues are brought to the attention of the Attorney throughout the process and all client deliverables are timely Qualifications: Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products Candidates must have worked with legal software, case management, and docketing programs High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s degree is a plus Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment Compensation: $17 - $20 hourly based on experience
