    Job Description

    JOB TITLE: TEST ENGINEER - 2ND SHIFT 

    JOB LOCATION: TORRANCE, CA

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Coordinate activities in the Space electronic power conditioner (EPC) and traveling-wave tube amplifier (TWTA) manufacturing and test areas, including
      • Assignment and configuration of production units
      • Designing / maintaining testing cables
      • Writing operating and handling procedures
      • Coordinating with supply chain
    • Provide training and guidance for hourly Test Technicians
    • Prepare test-readiness review packages for the Space EPCs (internal and for customer review)
    • Review customer specifications for Space EPCs
    • Write test instructions for production space fight hardware
    • Configure test software for production hardware
    • Disposition and troubleshoot production hardware; initiate and complete nonconformance reports
    • Review production routers
    • Organize and maintain test equipment
    • Understanding and application of space-level EEE parts usage
    • Review test data for trends and inaccuracies, select appropriate performance information from test data
    • Troubleshoot complex test issues, implements solutions
    • Troubleshoot test equipment and testing methodology as applicable.

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum of two years of prior relevant experience.
    • Computer proficiency is required, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
    • Must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to develop creative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, AutoCAD and/or Pro-E, and technical writing preferred
    • RF test experience highly desired
    • Must be able to work 2nd shift hours.
