    DDS PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    We’re searching for a Full Time, Program Director to provide leadership for our Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Program. The DDS Program Director will establish open communication, support and accountability among workers and consumers while actively promoting the philosophy of the DDS Program, maintaining a high level of commitment to the program.

    CLIENT SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Oversee the quantity and quality of all services provided by the program.
    • Promotes the rights of people with special needs to exercise choice to make meaningful decisions in their lives.
    • To respect the dignity of each individual through vigorous promotion of the human and civil rights which, in part, strives to keep people free from abuse or neglect.
    • To ensure that adequate services and flexible resources are non-intrusive, cost effective and provided by qualified, trained personnel to meet individual needs and preferences.
    • To screen all referrals to the program and provide entry to services through a single, local and familiar community setting.
    • Oversee the accuracy and currency of client records.
    • Responds to crisis that may occur with a client at any time while in our care.
    • To devise treatment plans (PSTP/ISP), review them quarterly, and supervise staff implementation of plans.

     

    ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES & RECORD KEEPING:

     

    • Hires, terminates, promotes, evaluates all staff performance and disciplines staff as needed.
    • To be available to implement job functions both in and out of the Center.
    • Responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing program quality management plans.
    • Responsible for compliance with DDS licensing and rehabilitation option certification.
    • Responsible for the submission of program monthly reports.
    • Monitors budgetary expenditures for the program.
    • Develops and submits quarterly reports on program goals and objectives.
    • Attends all staff meetings, management team meetings and in-service trainings when required.
    • Complies with all Agency policies and funding sources.

    Required Skills

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Knowledge of clients’ behavioral dynamics, demonstrated client advocacy skills and ability to establish viable working relationships with appropriate agencies.
    • Knowledge related to the treatment of client population, community resources/agencies.
    • Knowledge of state regulations and licensing procedures regarding service provision.
    • Ability to develop programs, supervise and delegate.
    • Ability to master First Aid, CPR, Defensive Driving and Fire Safety.
    • Bilingual (English & Spanish) encouraged to apply.

    Required Experience

    WHAT YOU NEED:

    • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.
    • Minimum three years’ experience working with the mental ill.
    • Two years’ supervisory experience required.
    • Must have Driver’s License & meet Agency’s requirements for driving history records.
    • Must be Bilingual, preferably bi-cultural.
    • Must have availability of an automobile to transport clients or perform other supportive services as needed.
