  • Responsibilities

    The Marketing Intern will play an active role in developing the Steno brand and community. The Marketing Intern will be responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s social media strategy, supporting external partnerships, calendar creation, full-scale campaign ideation, and implementation. This Intern may also be involved in market research, marketing analytics, project management, and event planning.

     

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    • Help distribute marketing materials across social media and other communication channels.

    • Assist in organization, planning, and hosting of marketing events.

    • Assist in marketing and advertising content creation activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web).

    • Lead audience engagement and community management strategy and implementation. 

    • Act as coordinator for multiple professional organization partnerships. 

    • Monitor social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.

    • Research and evaluate competitor marketing and sales content.

     

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

    • A sophomore or upperclassman currently enrolled in a program related to marketing, communications, or a similar field.

    • Familiarity with social media platforms and strategies. Experience with content creation is a plus.

    • Proficient in desktop applications (Word, Google Suite, PDF, etc.) to develop copy and content to be utilized in concepts and design deliverables.

    • Demonstrated creativity and impact of messaging and copywriting.

    • Excellent command of the English language in a professional setting, including the use of metaphors, spelling, grammar, syntax, etc.

    • Detail-oriented, organized, and dedicated professional.

    • Client-oriented with a focus on hospitality and reliability.

    • Interested in working with a growing start-up - working in a fast-paced environment; must be willing to roll up your sleeves.

Steno makes getting and paying for legal support services easy by combining litigation finance with a two-sided market that connects court reporters, videographers, and interpreters with the law firms that need their services.

    Steno has been experiencing very high growth and market adoption since its release in early 2019, and we are continuously looking for amazing people who are ready to upend a traditional industry and to help us meet the demands of scaling our product and to meet our clients’ needs. 

    Due to COVID-19, we are currently working remotely from home and will provide any equipment needed to be productive and comfortable in a remote working environment. We will be training and continually working as a team through Zoom.
