Description: This position will oversee all aspects of a small entrepreneurial travel and event business. Duties include: Event and Trip Planning Customer Relations and Follow up Marketing/PR for events/recruiting Negotiating contracts and partnerships Office admin College Degree in Marketing, Business, English or show work experience. Candidate must be extremely attentive to details, organized and have a system for keeping track of multiple projects in multiple stages. A good writer as well as business and internet savvy. This position is for someone who likes their hands in multiple pots, and can quickly switch from one task to the next. Hours can be flexible (approx. 4 a day), as well as remote, but consistency and reliability is key. Please submit a cover letter and writing sample with resume. Detailed Description: Written communication: Newsletter, flyers, press releases o Help prepare and write marketing materials to sell upcoming events and trips o Assist with monthly newsletter in writing and social media o Write press releases about events to various calendar pages of o Update website with new information as it becomes available Marketing o Follow marketing plan in getting word out: phone calls, postcards, other organizations o Write weekly email bulletins that gets sent out to 6,000 subscribers Membership Communication and Recruitment o Business letters and phone calls o Database Maintenance Event Coordination o Coordinate logistics of the event, including follow up with vendors o Write contracts of agreement with vendors o Secure staff people o Call people to remind them of payments and collect o Write up itineraries o Prepare trip confirmation packets There is little contact with customers in person.
