About the Role:

Tom Ellerhorst DDS, MSD is looking for a dedicated Sterilization Assistant to join our dental team in San Mateo, CA! This is a vital role that keeps our practice running safely and efficiently, ensuring every patient receives care in a clean and sterile environment. If you take pride in precision, cleanliness, and supporting a top-notch dental team, we want to hear from you! We are willing to train -- no experience is necessary.

Responsibilities:

Clean, sterilize, and prepare dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols

Operate and maintain autoclave and other sterilization equipment

Organize and restock treatment rooms and instrument trays between patient appointments

Monitor and document sterilization cycles to ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines

Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies and notify lead assistant when restocking is needed

Support clinical staff by ensuring instruments and materials are ready and available at all times

Requirements:

Willingness to be trained and an energetic upbeat personality

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe, sanitary environment

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills
