Position: Utility Technician Type: Hourly –

Full Time Pay Rate: $17.50 p/h – subject to union contract

Openings: TBD Shift: Days (6 a.m. – 6 p.m.), Nights (6 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.), 10+ hours per day, 4 to 6 days per week.

Responsibilities: Includes but not limited to

 Perform all in house welding and other types of repairs to include in-line and off line for all production parts as required.

 Perform basic maintenance activities relative to repair equipment such as but not limited to: Mig Welders, Arc Welders Plasma Cutters, and Oxy/Acetylene rigs etc…

 Perform fabrication tasks for items like Production containers and shelf racking, product Flow Racks.  Be able and willing to drive fork truck for the purpose of supporting movement of product to and from the repair area. (Training and testing for operator’s license will be provided.)

 Obtain and maintain certification as required and defined by the Quality department and Weld Engineering group.

 Adhere to current production standards and work instructions.

Qualifications:

 High-School Diploma or GED

 Minimum one (1) year of experience or certificate of experience in industrial welding and basic maintenance, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.

 Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge in an industrial environment for welding machines and other tools needed to perform repairs to production parts.

 Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance concepts and procedures as related to equipment that they will be using.

 Functional knowledge of MIG welding concepts, techniques. Must have hands on MIG welding experience.

 Obtain a passing grade on Company’s Utility Technician Written and Practical Test.

 The Company will provide specific procedural training relating to our customer’s repair requirements.

 The Company will provide training and testing for certification in the welding field.

 Able to work extended hours including weekends and some holidays when needed.

Required Skills Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post High School education/training or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of previous customer service and/or sales experience in a healthcare organization, medical office. Experience with health insurance products to include individual commercial and/ or Medicare plans.
• Must possess appropriate state Health Insurance License.
• Must be trained and certified by AHCT to sell exchange products.
• Experience using Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as other Internet and web-based tools. Experience preferred in Compass or Amisys.
• Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred. Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis, CPT-4, UB82 revenue codes, UB92 revenue coding and procedural coding preferred.
• Ability to perform in retail environment with extended periods of sitting, using telephone, viewing computer screens, standing, reaching, lifting files, binders, computer reports.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Moderate to heavy keying
