    About the Position

    The primary responsibility for this position is teaching. The needs of the department will determine the number of sections to be assigned to adjunct faculty. For more information about the course, please visit the Institute for Core Studies website.

    Most classes are in-person (at the address: 8000 Utopia Parkway, Queens, NY 11439), but some classes are online, both synchronously and asynchronously. For asynchronous classes, a certificate is required.

    Qualifications

    Applicants should possess at least a master’s degree in a science-based discipline such as biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, sociology, or similar fields. Strong skills in student engagement are required. A focus on data visualization or sustainability is preferred. Evidence of experience teaching a general science course to non-majors is preferred. It is expected that the position will be renewable. High-quality teaching is essential for the renewal of the position for the subsequent years. The initial rank depends on the highest degree of the candidate and the availability of the documented experience. The hire-on rate is $950 per credit for candidates without Ph.D. and $1050 per credit for candidates with a Ph.D.

        • Ability to create and debug Financial Force PSA custom objects, flows and triggers
        • Experience making customizations to the Financial Force PSA system
        • Knowledge of report writing and in Financial Force PSA
        • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex issues
        • Demonstrated Sr. BA work with large scale applications that may include ERP, CRM, PSA, financial applications
        • Experience in Distributed Software Development
        • Excellent English communication skills required
        • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and possesses past success in bringing different business cultures together towards common goals
        • Ability to lead through respect / influence
        • Experience and success working with virtual teams that span departments and time zones
        • Excellent mentoring and coaching skills
        • Ability to build relationships with and between people of different backgrounds
