Steve M. Rutherford, CPA, P.C. is an accounting firm located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The firm offers a range of services including tax and accounting needs, as well as specialized expertise in expert witness work, business and financial consulting, and bankruptcy support. Our primary focus is on small to medium sized companies and medium to high net worth families.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site entry level role. (40 hours a week; 8-5) The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks related to accounting and financial management, including preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, excel spreadsheet work, payroll, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with tax preparation.

The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision, have very strong critical thinking skills, have the ability to see what needs to be done and jump in without instruction, self-motivated and must be trustworthy and sensitive to confidential client information.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial management
• Experience with financial statement preparation and analysisData entry in QuickBooks and other supporting financial systems
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or several years of bookkeeping experience and working on their degree.

Compensation

$40,000/year (Hourly position)
