    Title: Core Assembler/Sticker
    Shift: 2:15 PM – 10:35 PM, Monday–Friday
    Note: Training will take place on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for the first 2 months
    Salary: $17.65 per hour

    Core Assembler Role:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented Core Assembler to join our client’s manufacturing team in Cortland, Ohio. This role is responsible for assembling core steel and coils for custom transformers, ensuring all assemblies meet precise specifications and quality standards.

    Core Assembler Responsibilities:

    • Read and interpret drawings, core specifications, and transformer specifications
    • Identify various core steels, aluminum, copper, brass, and stainless steel
    • Set up core clamps, core legs, and stick core yokes according to requirements
    • Assemble C-cores, EI laminations, and coils on cores per specifications
    • Insulate cores and brace coils using appropriate insulating materials
    • Stack core steel for special chokes and assemble core clamps
    • Check, square up, and verify assemblies using steel rules and micrometers
    • Operate cranes, slings, wrenches, hammers, band saws, grinders, micrometers, insulation shears, and welding equipment
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following all safety rules and procedures
    • Assist other employees as directed by the supervisor

    Core Assembler Reporting Relationships:
    Reports to the Production Supervisor. No direct reports.

    About You:

    • Have experience with mechanical assembly or transformer manufacturing
    • MIG/TIG Welding Experience
    • Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
    • Use precision measuring tools such as steel rules and micrometers
    • Identify and work with various metals and insulating materials
    • Operate hand and power tools, cranes, and welding equipment safely
    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Work independently and as part of a team
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
