    We co-create and supply our partners with hot-cooked products including sauces, cheese sauces, soups, chilis and marinades. Our cold-processed products include dressings, sauces, spreads, and batters. And we have a world-class facility dedicated to producing fresh salsas. We are a fast-growing food organization with 4 production facilities in So Cal and will be expanding to the East Coast.

    Job Overview:

    As a QA MANAGER you will be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance department to provide safe, high quality products that meet customer expectations. You will be accountable of ensuring the food safety system is properly written, validated, documented and implemented as directed to ensure regulatory compliance. As well, manage the plant’s SQF food safety audits. Oversee the development, review and maintenance of the SQF System. Provide solid leadership to achieve company, plant, and department goals through various management, evaluation and improvement skills and strategies that improve overall quality.

    You will provide appropriate training to employees and ensure standard operating procedures are followed. Verify that all Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulatory programs are functioning as designed, being followed and correctly documented.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and oversee audits
    • Revise and update food safety, quality programs and procedures
    • Able to investigate a product/process failure, determine the root cause and take prompt corrective actions, while minimizing product exposure and production down time quickly and thoroughly.
    • Develop & maintain policies & procedures related to food safety and quality
    • Manage and review all food system programs
    • Handle SQF’s
    • Maintain all processing registrations
    • Able to respond to customer complaints
    • Manage environmental program
    • Food industry a MUST

    Qualifications & Education:

    • High School diploma required, bachelor’s in business or food technology a plus
    • 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance environment
    • PCQI Certification
    • HACCP Certified
    • SQF certificated
    • Bilingual Spanish
