    General Contractor/Developer/Real Estate Broker in the Northern Nevada Market is seeking to add to their team. In search of a dynamic individual who has a strong background in accounting, is adaptable to support various construction and real estate operations, and is capable of interfacing with multiple software systems. Basic Function: The Accounting Assistant’s primary role will be to manage financial transactions and generates reports from that information. Specifically including posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier/subcontractor invoices. The accounting assistant will also be tasked with reconciling accounts to ensure their accuracy. Project Coordinator tasks will include assisting the Pre-construction department in bid solicitations and follow-up, supplement Project Managers on active construction projects and execute administrative requirements. A general understanding of construction is a plus, but not a requirement. Responsibilities: PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Book and pay supplier and subcontractor invoices in a timely manner • Maintain daily sales tracking. Record cash deposits. File and pay monthly sales tax returns. • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly • File state and local tax returns and maintain tracking schedule, including 1096’s and 1099’s. • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system • Fact checking accounting records for reconciliation with subcontractors • Process and record payroll in a timely manner • Follow accounting policies and procedures • Interface with real estate staff and reconcile commissions. • Calculate and maintain employee health benefit deductions. • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Lien release tracking • Insurance tracking, including OCIP/Wrap policy compliance • Tracking signed contracts and change orders • Warranty Administration • Scheduling assistance (escrows) • New and resale home file compliance • Office Misc. • Facility maintenance coordination and office supply management • Onsite property management • Conference room scheduling • Systems Admin & Support • Estimating bid solicitations and proposal follow-up • Project Management administrative support Qualifications: The candidate should have an Associate degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of Sage and QuickBooks accounting software packages. Other qualifications include: • Proven bookkeeping experience • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records • Data entry skills with an aptitude for math • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets (MS Office proficiency) • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Compensation: 20.00 - 25.00 hourly
