Overview

Synear is currently looking for a detail oriented and well organized Stockroom Clerk to join our Maintenance team. The position will be responsible for managing the stockroom from receiving, issuing, ordering, inventorying, and storing spare parts, supplies, etc.

• Need to be aware that the schedule is 5am -1:30pm, and you will spending 60% of the time in the freezing room.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly inventory count of parts and consumables
• Keep power and hand tool inventory
• Assist technicians when needed on light mechanical and electrical tasks
• Organize spare parts with location for easy and fast access. Keep inventory information updated on changes of size, type, location, etc to ensure inventory accuracy
• Verify the incoming shipment conformance to the order details, and store them in the proper locations
• Provide pick up service for mechanics, and keep record of parts or supplies issued.
• Manage periodic, special and annual inventory count and maintain all spare parts at a safety stock level
• Conduct monthly consumable and parts budget
• Assist with preventive maintenance (PM) form creation
• Keep Stock Room area organized and clean
• Place orders with vendors, follow up with order/shipping status, prepare invoices, and forward them to Accounting Department
• Coordinate return shipment with vendors to ensure return items are delivered on time
• Address any questions or concerns on workplace safety with management
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum 1 years of experience working in the maintenance stockroom or familiar with equipment parts
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays depending on operational needs
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks such as forklift, pallet jacks, and other equipment
• Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Excellent communications skills along with computer literacy including MS suite, Google Apps and other professional software
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Physical requirement including frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and infrequent lifting up to 100 lbs. For instances when employee is required to lift more than 50 lbs and 100 lbs they must work in teams of two or use the proper equipment and tools for the job/task at hand. Ability to walk on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 2 hours or more; ability to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; occasional working at heights above 10 ft; exposure to bright light, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, chemicals, etc.
