Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES •    Manage daily operations of AM shift. •    Plan and Direct the daily activities of warehouse operations while assisting the Sr. Manager of Operations with the development of operational goals and monitoring performance against the operating budget. •    Coordinate all efforts between the facility’s shipping, receiving, inventory control, safety, and sanitation departments to ensure optimal facility service and productivity. •    Manage supervisors and hourly associates, including daily monitoring and evaluating performance; providing coaching for performance improvement and development. •    Develop and maintain solid partnerships with merchandising, purchasing, customer service, etc. to contribute in building a stronger cross-department team, as well as identify opportunities to improve operating efficiencies and reduce operating costs. •    Partner with human resources to foster and maintain a culture of open, honest communication through leadership by example.  Encourage opportunities for associates to participate and collaborate at all levels within the Distribution organization. •    Identify opportunities and potential barriers to maximizing productivity and identify resources necessary to resolve. •    Control costs and develop ideas that will reduce expenses through constant process review and change. •    Perform other related duties as required and assigned.   JOB REQUIREMENTS •    5+ years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, warehousing and/or transportation. •    Management style that promotes an atmosphere of high performance, superior customer service and innovation without compromising integrity. •    Strong sense of urgency with the ability to work within tight deadlines. •    Sound knowledge of financial analysis and budgeting. •    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.   JOB PREFERRED SKILLS •    WMS knowledge. •    Microsoft office (Word, Excel). •    Food Safety Certification.
