Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering or infrastructure management within large-scale data center environments.
- Proven experience leading or contributing to major storage infrastructure projects and migrations.
Technical Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge of enterprise storage technologies such as Dell EMC (PowerMax, Unity, Isilon), NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, or HPE 3PAR/Nimble.
- Deep understanding of SAN (Brocade/Cisco FC), NAS, and object storage architectures.
- Experience with cloud storage integration (AWS S3, Azure Blob, or GCP Storage).
- Strong background in data protection , replication, and disaster recovery technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
- Experience managing storage for virtualized environments (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with monitoring and performance tools (SolarWinds, Grafana, Dell Unisphere, NetApp Active IQ, etc.).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes , capacity planning , and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle critical incidents under pressure.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities, including the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership and mentoring experience within technical teams.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
Preferred Certifications:
- Dell EMC Proven Professional, NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), or equivalent vendor certifications.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar virtualization certification.
- ITIL Foundation or higher-level certification.
- Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
