• Assisting customers in the unit reservation and rental process
• Assisting reservation and walk-in customers (both in person and on the phone) in renting storage units, understanding the lease terms, fees and protection plan and completing lease agreements
• Consulting, selling, and up selling merchandise such as boxes, tape and other appropriate products that meet customers needs
• Ensuring the appearance of the property is customer ready by ensuring property appearance is safe and welcoming
• Managing, verifying, balancing cash drawer; preparing and making daily deposits
• Conducting a daily physical storage unit inspection confirming inventory availability and ensuring each unit is secure or ready to rent
• Working closely with District Manager to receive training and coaching when needed, striving to exceed all company expectations
• Weekend hours would include a combination of Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday

Qualifications

Successful Storage Specialists come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including restaurants, retail, customer service, and sales. However, current students, former teachers and individuals with military, police, firefighter or other first responder experience have also proven to be a great fit for this role. Regardless of your background, we are looking for talented people with the following characteristics: 

• Customer focused and service oriented personality
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Enjoy working independently, but can also operate as part of a small team
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Working with computers in a Windows environment, using Microsoft Office, and learning new applications comes naturally
