Job Description

This individual will maintain the appearance of the facilities, the right individual will be relied on to routinely perform janitorial duties and must be an experienced painter.  YOU MUST HAVE ACCESS TO A PERSONAL VEHICLE TO PERFORM THIS ROLE ADEQUATELY.  You will be serving several Storage Post locations, transporting your personal tools. YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK A MINIMUM 35 HOURS PER WEEK AND YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK DURING STORAGE POST BUSINESS HOURS. Here is an overview of the job responsibilities:

• Painter - required skill 
• Clean vacated spaces, hallways and the exterior of the property as needed
• Keep the premises neat and clean, the grounds free of debris and landscaped area free of weeds
• Assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings, such as repairing plaster and drywall, painting building structures, etc.
• Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts and order supplies as needed
• Available to work weekends when needed

POSITION SERVES THESE 2 LOCATIONS (NOTE - PERSONAL AUTOMOBILE REQUIRED DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF TRAVEL BETWEEN LOCATION):

• 380 OAKWOOD ROAD, HUNTINGTON, NY 11746

Qualifications

Regardless of your background, we are looking for talented people with the following characteristics: 

• Strong skills in preparing drywall, priming, and painting
• Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• IMPORTANT: Please note that this Technician will be required to drive their personal vehicle on behalf of the business, and will be personally responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is properly insured.
