Uniform Gear is looking for an enthusiastic retail Store Manager! Our Store Manager works closely with our clients in the public service industry. Their number one responsibility is maintaining relationships with our clients by offering exceptional customer service. This location only has 2-3 other employees along with the Store Manager. Store Manager Responsibilities:
Drive customer service excellence to every aspect of the store, including store appearance, display of merchandise, product placement, story layout, and selling procedures
Supports an environment of teamwork and trust
Manages retail staff and retail inventory
Manages commercial accounts in house including fittings/data entry - must be excellent communicating via email and telephone
Communicates with departments on completed and back ordered items
Works the sales floor
Oversee retail staff’s daily activities
Fix minor computer/printer issues
Handle retail customer issues, questions and concerns
Execute inventory counting
Answer Phones
Communicates heavily with Commercial Sales Manager and Customization Manager via phone multiple times a day
Assist Sales Associates with custom orders
Assist Commercial Sales with uniform measuring, data entry and pick ups
Monitor stock and inventory, and perform quality assurance of merchandise on a regular basis
Create inventory pos/check on inventory pos/oversee rush orders for retail customers
Qualifications for Store Manager:
Public Safety Uniform Sales preferred but not required
Minimum high school diploma
Must be organized
Must have great managerial skills and communication
Must be comfortable calling main location multiple times a day for stock/commercial customers
3 years of clothing retail sales required
2 or more years of Store Manager or Assistant Manager experience required
Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
Experience with interviewing, hiring and evaluating candidates, and assessing employee performance
Basic math skills sufficient to complete orders, calculate inventory and manage cash registers
Able to give clear directions and set expectations for staff
Demonstrated ability to lead by example
Must work on-site
Must be able to sit and stand for multiple hours at a time
Climbing small ladder, bending, reaching, squatting
Must be able to read and comprehend written/verbal orders
Must be able to communicate efficiently in English
Must be capable of only taking one meal period per day
Must be able to work between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday
Must be able to lift 30 pound boxes
