Dream Smoothie LLC, the locally owned Smoothie King franchise in Longmont, is seeking a hands-on Store Operations Manager to lead a small team, build stronger people, and create a store culture where purpose, ownership, service, and follow-through are the standard.
This is not a sit-in-the-office role, and it is not a position for someone looking for a title without responsibility. Our Store Operations Manager works alongside the team, leads shifts, develops people, keeps the store organized, and helps create the kind of environment where employees understand what needs to be done and take pride in doing it well.
Smoothie King is a health and wellness brand, but this role is bigger than making smoothies. You will help shape the guest experience, team culture, daily operations, training, scheduling, ordering, inventory awareness, and accountability systems that keep a small business strong.
We are looking for someone who can influence people in the right way. Someone who can create direction without hovering, motivate without empty speeches, coach without tearing people down, and hold standards without letting the store become tense or negative.
A strong fit for this role understands that leadership is not simply telling people what to do. It is helping people understand why their work matters, setting the pace through example, recognizing effort, correcting poor habits early, and making sure the team stays focused whether the store is busy or slow.
What You Will Do
Lead daily shifts with calm energy, urgency, and professionalism
Create a team culture built around purpose, service, accountability, and respect
Coach Team Members and Team Captains on guest interaction, product knowledge, upselling, cleanliness, teamwork, and shift execution
Help employees understand both what needs to be done and why it matters
Support scheduling, shift coverage, call-offs, and communication with the team
Help manage ordering, inventory, prep levels, supply needs, waste, and store organization
Train new hires and maintain clear training expectations
Make sure cleaning, stocking, prep, and side work are completed consistently
Handle guest concerns professionally and turn service issues into positive recoveries when possible
Help strengthen sales through better guest engagement, product recommendations, and team coaching
Address poor habits early and document coaching or recurring issues when needed
Communicate store needs, staffing concerns, supply issues, and improvement opportunities to ownership
Jump into any position needed during busy periods
What Success Looks Like
Employees stay productive during slow periods without needing constant reminders
Guests are greeted, helped, and treated like they matter
The store stays clean, stocked, organized, and ready for business
New hires are trained with structure, purpose, and clear expectations
Strong employees are recognized and developed
Poor habits are corrected before they become part of the culture
Ownership can step away knowing the store will still operate with focus and standards
What We Are Looking For
Experience leading people in retail, food service, hospitality, fitness, sales, military, school, sports, or another team-based environment
Strong ability to motivate and influence people through clarity, consistency, respect, and example
Comfortable coaching employees, giving direction, and having accountability conversations
Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong customer-service instincts and confidence engaging with guests
Willing to work on the floor, clean, stock, prep, train, and solve problems alongside the team
Comfortable learning scheduling, ordering, inventory, and store systems
Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
This Role Is Not a Fit For Someone Who
Wants a manager title without being willing to lead from the floor
Avoids difficult conversations or lets poor habits slide
Thinks slow time is personal downtime
Needs ownership present before standards are enforced
Believes leadership is simply telling people what to do
Compensation and Benefits
$18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated leadership ability
Full-time schedule target of approximately 35–40 hours per week
Paid sick leave as required by Colorado law
Employee discount
Performance-based advancement opportunity
To apply, please submit a resume and complete the application questions thoughtfully. We are looking for someone who wants to help build a stronger team, a better store culture, and a business people can be proud to be part of.
