As a Store Team Leader, you’re pawsitively passionate about people and their pets. You will lead the store, develop your team, and drive results while delivering exceptional, neighborly service in a fun and engaging pet retail environment. From jumping on the floor to welcome a new puppy to analyzing store sales performance and inspiring your team to hit goals, you play a key role in creating a trusted, pet-centric destination in your community.
What You’ll Do
Lead and develop your team by setting the example in customer service, sales, and operations
Drive store performance including retail sales, services, and neighbor engagement
Analyze results and implement plans to improve productivity and profitability
Create and manage weekly schedules to maximize team efficiency and coverage
Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a fully staffed, high-performing team
Coach team members through ongoing feedback, training, and development
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-run store environment (animal care, safety, and operations)
Ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures
Build relationships within the community and support local events and partnerships
Foster a fun, positive culture centered around pets, people, and teamwork

Requirements and Responsibilities
2+ years of retail leadership or store management experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred (High School Diploma/GED required)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
Ability to operate store equipment (including forklift, where applicable)
Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 65 lbs
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Reliable transportation
Must be 18+ years old and able to meet hiring requirements set by the local franchise owner
