Job Summary

We are looking for a Stewardess onboard who is a hard worker with a positive, can-do attitude that takes instruction well and has an impeccable attention to detail. No detail is overlooked by a successful yacht stewardess (i.e. towel folds, perfectly ironed pillow cases). A friendly, professional character with guests is essential as is discretion and maintenance of guest privacy. This candidate will have one year of experience on a yacht or very strong experience on shore.

A yacht stewardess or steward’s role is to deliver exceptional service to the owners and guests onboard while keeping the inside of the yacht immaculate. The main job responsibility is to maintain the interior of the yacht whilst providing the highest standards of guest service in line with the owners and guests expectations. 

Job Responsibilities

• Setting stewardess schedules for guest service and cleaning

• Interior cleaning and maintenance

• Interior inventory

• Interior accounting

• Liaison with guests and service - meals and bartending

• Liaison with galley for meal services

• Orchestrating guest activities

• Boat stowage for sea

• Assisting with lines and fenders on deck

• Assisting captain with ships paperwork

• food and drink service, bartending, table setting, cabin arrangement, floral decoration, stowage for sea, crew provisioning and general housekeeping for the guests and yacht crew

• looks after every need of the guests onboard.

Required Skills

• Ability to delegate

• Good communications, organization and diplomacy

• Vast knowledge of wines, service and housekeeping

• Knowledge of restaurants and activities in cruising areas

• Familiar with ISM and ISPS protocols

• Knowledge of flower and table decorations

• Attention to detail

• Financial management

• experience with inventory management and generally a high level of organisation

• a deep understanding of fine dining and wine service

• expert knowledge of housekeeping and laundry protocols on a yacht

• the ability to keep calm and smiling in stressful situations.

Requirements: 

• Hold a valid STCW Basic Safety Training Yacht Certificate

  • Personal Survival Techniques (STCW A-VI/1-1)

  • Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (STCW A-VI/1-2)

  • Elementary First Aid (STCW A-VI/1-3)

  • Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (STCW A-VI/1-4)

  • Proficiency in Security Awareness (STCW A-VI/6-1)

• Has a valid STCW, NCI or NCII, any Yacht Interior Training

• ENG 1 (Seafarers Medical Certificate)

• Be 21 years of age or older

• Be able to pass a criminal background check

• Hold a valid Philippines passport

• Have a Long-stay (Type D) Schengen visa

  • Have a Storylines-specific pre-employment medical exam certificate

• Meet the English fluency requirements relevant to their position
