Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You will be accountable for overseeing the operation of various tools and machinery essential and necessary to the role, including but not limited to forklifts, hand jacks, tape measures, calculator, computers, loading docks, cranes, scales, data collection equipment, radios, and copy machine.
You will demonstrate proficiency in verifying the accuracy of incoming material shipments. Assess the quality of materials and identify defective items. Receive and stock material in appropriate sector locations.
You will possess the capability to conduct cycle and physical counting of all assigned materials and accurately document all shipments to production areas. Additionally, you will utilize a computer to access information and process paperwork in a timely manner.
You will follow instructions for daily picking and supplying of materials to designated production areas, including manual placement in specified locations, transferring of materials between warehouses, and returning to stock, as well as loading/unloading materials from trailers and trucks.
Perform daily checks on equipment, including fluid levels, and complete all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate, and highly productive manner according to company policies.
Ability to work mandatory overtime.
Ensure the safety of others working in the vicinity of moving vehicles.
Qualifications
Education: High School or equivalent (GED)
Licenses/Certifications:
Forklift Certified
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Basic math skills (accurate counting)
Data entry and communication skills
Must have 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training.
