TAX MANAGER Positions available at multiple levels including Senior Accountant

For over 30 years, Strand Boyce O'Shaughnessy, CPAs, Inc. (SBO), a public accounting firm located in Pleasant Hill, CA, has provided A&A, tax and consulting services to a diverse client base of high-income individuals and small to mid-size privately held businesses. 

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a driven, motivated team player with 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to lead tax engagements.  Working directly with clients, you will prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns including multi-state and multi-entity returns, complete complex tax research, planning and strategy, train and supervise a small accounting staff, prepare tax correspondence for submission to the IRS and state tax agencies and develop and cultivate professional client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA license
• 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibility
• Extensive experience with various tax entities, tax preparation and general accounting
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, client service, leadership and technology skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency (ProSystem fx Engagement and Lacerte proficiency is a plus)
• Ability to understand clients’ business objectives, juggle priorities, meet deadlines and thrive working both independently and in a team-oriented environment with all levels of staff
