    Strata-G is seeking an experienced Electrical Equipment Inspector with the following:

    Scope:

    Anticipated Start Date: April 1, 2024

    Anticipated End Date: September 30, 2024, but may be extended. _

    Seeking electrical inspectors to assist our Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction (E-AHJ) and UT Battelle (UTB) Electrical Equipment Inspectors (EEIs) to inspect electrical equipment identified in UTB's Unlisted Electrical Equipment Database. The subcontracted electrical equipment inspectors will work closely with, and under the direction of, current UTB EEIs to identify and perform equipment inspections and provide a report to the UTB EEI for review. As needed, the report will be used to provide guidance to UTB staff members to make the necessary modifications to equipment. The UTB EEI will be responsible for the final approval or rejection of equipment. UTB will train the subcontractors to the requirements of ORNL's EEI program; this includes UTB's Lock/Tag/Verify (LTV) training and other identified courses.

    NOTE: UTB EEIs will be responsible for making the final determination of equipment status based on the subcontractor's inspection report.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, physics, or a related field, or
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in design, fabrication, and/or maintenance of electrical utilization equipment.

    Strata-G will not sponsor applicants for immigrant or non-immigrant work visas. The successful candidate will be required to submit evidence of identity and employment authorization. Tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4, will be conducted by Strata-G and a background investigation by the Federal government may be required to obtain an access authorization prior to employment.
