The Role
We’re looking for an experienced ****who leverages technical expertise and business acumen to help clients solve complex problems and achieve their goals to join our go-to-market team. You’ll be the technical backbone of our sales process — translating complex AI-powered capabilities into clear business value for decision-makers at banks and credit unions.
You’ll work closely with account executives, product leaders, and client stakeholders to support sales cycles from discovery through implementation and early adoption, understanding client needs and developing customized solutions using the Hapax AI solutions and services. This role will bridge the gab between technical capabilities and business objectives, ensuring solutions align with client requirements and drive positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives in client-facing meetings, conducting in-depth discovery sessions with clients to identify their specific challenges, requirements, and business objectives
- Own and deliver product demos, technical deep dives, and proof-of-concept engagements
- Customize solution overviews based on client architecture, compliance posture, and operational workflows
- Translate banking-specific needs into feature requests or implementation plans
- Collaborate with product and engineering to scope integrations with core systems, LOS, CRM, or document workflows
- Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects by explaining how AI (especially GenAI) applies to their unique environment
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to provide informed recommendations
- Assist in RFP responses and security reviews
Post-Sales Technical Support
- Act as a technical liaison between the customer and internal product/engineering teams
- Troubleshoot configuration issues, API errors, and data mapping discrepancies as needed
- Support account management with technical Q&A and solution guidance during customer check-ins
- Contribute to documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to streamline client success
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions consulting, or sales engineering
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of relevant technologies
- Strong background selling into community banks and credit unions
- Deep understanding of banking operations (e.g., lending, operations, risk/compliance, customer service, etc.)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively
- Familiarity with core systems (Fiserv, Jack Henry, FIS, etc.) and third-party integrations
- Experience working with or selling AI solutions — ideally with GenAI exposure
- Ability to explain technical solutions to both C-suite and technical teams
- Sales experience or familiarity with the sales process
- Understanding of business strategy and objectives
- Startup mindset: scrappy, resourceful, adaptable, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- Ability to travel frequently

Technical background (CS degree or equivalent experience)
