The Elevance Health Technology Intern Program allows graduate students to gain real-world work experience in their academic field. During the summer months, interns will engage in challenging projects evolving around the rapidly changing healthcare tech industry. Interns are paired with industry professionals and mentors and will be given opportunities to stretch their skills and enrich their knowledge base to achieve a greater understanding within technology. If the intern performs well throughout the internship, there will be opportunities for fulltime employment once the intern graduates.
Interns will participate in activities to enhance connection to the company as a whole and encourage personal growth. Some of these activities include:
Formal onboarding event for all students to ensure integration to the organization and program
A one on one mentorship with a leader for the duration of the program
Cadenced Learning series to build student’s acumen and focus on learning the business
Opportunities to grow and develop through social and networking events
This job is for participants of an approved internship program for post-graduate college students. The Strategic Communications and Internal Marketing Intern will be responsible for working across internal teams and business stakeholders to develop detailed, story-telling content and internal marketing collateral that effectively communicates strategic healthcare-technology concepts and value.
Primary responsibilities include supporting:
Strategic Communications:
Collects and synthesizes difficult technological concepts into digestible formats using excellent writing and visualization skills
Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects, priorities, communication plans and timelines
Collaborates across teams to create internal strategic communication plans for projects, programs and products; prepares status updates and reports
Internal Marketing:
Promotes organization objectives, products, and services to business stakeholders within the company
Develops materials with the purpose of educating business stakeholders on the outcomes and impact of work efforts
Applies marketing concepts, levers, and operating strategies (brand positioning, brand architecture, competitive assessment, market strategies, consumer segmentation, media planning, trade/consumer promotions, etc.) to support both product- and enterprise-level marketing efforts
Student Qualifications:
Pursuing an MBA or masters with some concentration in Strategic Marketing, Digital Marketing, Consumer Experience, Strategic Communications, or related concepts
Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
Ability to work 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day January to April
Currently enrolled in a program of study at an accredited college/university

Possess strong intellectual curiosity and motivated to master analytical skills.
Must be a critical thinker capable of producing applied insights and problem-solving
Must be a self-starter and quick learner with the desire to learn new tools and techniques
Must have structured thinking to synthesize analytic findings (both verbally and written) into actionable strategic recommendations
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, structured and strategic thinking, facilitation skills
Ability to participate collaboratively in a team tasked to produce complex analyses on a rigorous schedule
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $28.54 to $42.81.
