An award winning civil engineering firm in Temple Hills, MD is hiring for a Principal level Accountant or Jr Controller to join their growing team. This is a key hire that will report directly into the VP of Finance and take ownership of the entire lifecycle of the accounting process for a company that does $17 Million in revenue. As they grow and replace outsourced talent with full-time in house hires, this is a great chance to get in at the ground level of an accounting department that's poised for growth. 

Must have: 

• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting as a Sr Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Controller
• Proficiency in ERP software such as Foundation, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, Sage or similar
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field
• Previous adherence professionally to GAAP accounting rules

Nice to have:

• CPA or exams toward certification completed
• Master's in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field
• Previous experience in civil engineering or construction project accounting
