Job Description

Leading digital marketplace is hiring for Sr. Data Engineer. This is a fully-remote opportunity for someone able to work PST hours. This company is building the industry's most efficient and uplifting experience for all parties involved. The Data Engineering team is responsible for building out highly scalable data pipelines to power the platform while also providing data for the analytics engine to glean meaningful insights. 

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, especially building data pipelines and working with large scale applications
• Strong Java / Scala experience, along with JEE, Spring or Hibernate
• MySQL / Postgres experience along with NoSQL technologies (Cassandra)
• Cloud experience using AWS
• Big Data experience: Apache Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Spark
• BSCS degree (MSCS a strong plus)
