Our client is an exciting Healthcare security SaaS company located in the Greater Boston area that specializes in building software that assists hospitals, healthcare institutions, and facilities in safeguarding sensitive patient data. Our client is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Manager comfortable with delivering cloud-based SaaS products. The team you will be working on will be responsible for the architecture, development, and continuous deployment of their cloud-based SaaS applications. Ideal candidates will be Lead Engineers and Managers comfortable with Java and Rest APIs, with AWS or other cloud deployment experience. Responsibilities

• Responsible for scrum team leadership, delivering scheduled software releases, and coordinating developer activities with leadership
• Manage and assist in building functional and custom features within their cloud-based application environment
• Manage 18-20 engineers (10 on-site/remote and 10 offshore)
• Lead and mentor team members for component and application design, CI/CD, and cloud deployment best practices
• Manage and lead in an Agile environment ensuring delivery of high-quality code, utilizing best development practices, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineers

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional development experience with Java as well as designing and building Enterprise applications
• 2- 4 years of experience managing on-site and remote engineering teams
• Professional experience developing Restful Web Services within a Linux environment
• 2+ years of professional experience deploying scalable SaaS applications to AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field

Desired Skills

• Hands-on Kafka or Docker/Kubernetes experience is a PLUS

• Professional experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Snowflake, Redshift, etc. is a PLUS (Not Required)
