Our client is an exciting SaaS company located in downtown Boston, they are looking to add a Backend Golang Engineer to the team. This opportunity is FULL-REMOTE. Our client is currently working on scaling the product to reach millions of customers, and they're backed by an established company in the Financial/Benefits space. Their product is a web-based marketplace application where employees of small, mid-size, and large companies can make changes to their workplace benefits. Responsibilities:

• Build the backend of complex web applications
• Solve software development problems as they arise, contribute to the architecture and design of systems
• Work within the team to contribute creative ideas and do Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven development
• Develop new features for and within business applications containing complex data structures
• Work in an Agile environment with two-week sprints, communicate effectively with team members, etc.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer OR Senior Software Engineer
• Experience with ONE programming language such as Golang (preferred), JavaScript, Node.js/TypeScipt, etc.
• Professional experience in a production environment working with RESTful APIs
• Comfortable with MySQL, MongoDB, OR Redis (they're using a few relational and NoSQL databases)

Desired Skills:

• Experience or familiarity Kubernetes, and/or AWS is a PLUS (NOT REQUIRED)
• Experience assisting in DevOps responsibilities and experience working with Product Managers is a PLUS (NOT REQUIRED)
