    The Big Thought OST team is looking for exceptional talent to support with our virtual learning program. The idea candidate will be available to support this project onsite at our Virtual Learning Lab. This position is an Academic Year position. The role will be responsible for supporting with virtual youth education instruction. Position Details:

    Estimated hours per week - 9 - 20 hours per week

    Rate of pay of $20 per hour

    Scheduled Shifts: Monday - Thursday 7:30a.m. - 12:30 pm & 12:00 pm - 4:30 p.m.

    This role will support onsite at the Big Thought Virtual Learning Lab. We would love to speak to you about this role. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

    The part-time Virtual Learning Tutor is responsible for providing an educational environment where learners can engage in instructional programming that results in students achieving academic success. The Virtual Learning Instructor is a highly qualified instructional professional responsible for the delivery of specified course content in an online, virtual environment.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Review classroom or curricula topics and assignments

    Coordinate with teachers and virtual learning lead to provide developmentally appropriate learning lessons and activities.

    Incorporate Social Emotional Learning into every element of virtual programming.

    Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation and other academic tasks.

    Work with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.

    Teach skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies.

    Demonstrate academic best practices for specific subjects and assignments.

    Provide students positive and constructive feedback.

    Provide feedback on progress to students' parents and teachers, where appropriate.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience in Pre-K – 6th Academic Programming

    High quality written and verbal communication skills

    High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and Excel

    High proficiency utilizing modern office technology

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    4 Year Degree from an Accredited Institution

    Degree in Education or Childhood Development

    Early Childhood Education Experience

    Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Preferred
