Purpose Statement:

Strategic Focus Educational Services has positioned itself as a strategic support partner to local non-profits and school districts. Our service areas have traditionally focused on staffing for in-school and out-of-school programming.

Our goal and mission is to be of service to support the underlying need present. We want to ensure students aligned to our program do not fall behind in their coursework and are able to obtain the assistance and support needed to excel in each of their study areas. We are looking for a team of e-tutors with heart of service and a passion for motivating and inspiring students. Our job is to give each student, we have the privilege to serve, the tools and resources necessary to provide them with the confidence to excel in their studies.

Essential Job Duties:

Assess, teach and support learners online

Use email, discussion forums, audio and video conferencing platform (Teams or Zoom) to communicate with learners

Develop an online relationship with learners

Prepare and assess online assignments

Provide feedback and answers to learners’ questions

Build learners’ confidence and independence

Required Qualifications/Skills:

Education: High school diploma required. College Degree and/or coursework in child development, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Experience working with children is required.

Excellent communication, listening and explanation skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

A clear and enthusiastic voice

Ability to prioritize workload effectively

Genuine interest in your students

Intermediate/Advanced IT skills

Ability to make effective use of the Internet as an educational resource

Other Requirements:

Responsible Positive rapport with co-workers. Sincere interest in working with children. Ability to safely and successfully manage elementary and/or middle school age children. Must have reliable transportation, as this position deploys to varied sites on a daily basis.
