STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (SLDP)

Four rotations. A multitude of experiences.

In just two years, you’ll advance your healthcare expertise while acquiring highly practical business knowledge through four, six-month rotations that will expose you to a broad range of Edwards business units. Plus, you’ll have the chance to pursue international opportunities and gain hands-on experience across multiple functional areas, from strategy and healthcare solutions, to sales operations, marketing and business development.

DIRECT HIRE MBA OPPORTUNITIES

Direct hire opportunities are available in a variety of functions, such as Upstream/Downstream Marketing, Business Development, Strategy, and Sales Operations, which all support Edwards’ goal to treat our patient populations and fight cardiovascular disease.

You will have direct impact on the business by leading activities such as:

• Designing and leading project launches

• Collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)

• Developing and managing marketing strategies

• Creating product trainings for the sales team

• Addressing voice of customer to develop product pipeline

• Developing a portfolio strategy

• Designing and executing our strategic planning process

These roles may be available within the following business areas: Critical Care, Surgical Structural Heart, Transcatheter Heart Valves, Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies, Corporate Strategy & Development and Healthcare Solutions.

In both programs program, participants will gain valuable experience by owning various projects while working side-by-side with functional experts. A dedicated senior level manager is assigned to each individual as a professional mentor. This mentor will guide the MBA graduate through the medical device world and the company, and assist in developing the MBA graduate’s professional skills and business acumen.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants will be automatically considered for both programs and should possess:

• Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future

• Must be enrolled in a full-time MBA program with a targeted graduation date of Spring 2023

• Target GPA of 3.5+ or equivalent

• Minimum two years of work experience

• Completion of at least one internship experience

• A healthcare background is preferred; MDs pursuing their MBAs will be considered

• Geographic flexibility is highly desired

Each fall, we interview qualified second-year MBA candidates at selected universities. The best potential candidates are then invited to our Southern California headquarters for final round interviews the second week of November.

These final round interviews offer a first-hand look into the Edwards culture, allowing you to get to know the local MBA community and interact with upper management. We then determine the best MBA candidates and extend offers to our Strategic Leadership Development Program and/or Direct Hire Opportunities prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
