    Job Description

    DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION

    The Integration and Operations function at Risant Health plays a crucial role in the performance and growth of the organization. Over the coming years, Risant will continue to bring in new Risant Health organizations, which will require extensive cross-functional work to integrate each into Risant Health ecosystem. In addition to integration of new health organizations, the function will establish Communities of Practice to propagate leading best practices among Kaiser Permanente and Risant Health organizations. The function will also identify and build Risant Health Shared Services to further support Risant Health organizations over time. The Integration and Operations function sets direction for and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Risant corporate parent entity, including HR, and multi-year planning and integration management, as well as managing organizational performance. The function also supports risk management activities for Risant Health as needed.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Strategic Operations Associate will play a critical role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Operations function within Risant Health. This position is responsible for developing and managing project plans for key initiatives, coordinating resources and tasks to ensure successful project execution, continuously monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and objectives. Acting as a versatile team member, this role will provide support across multiple operational functions, troubleshooting issues as they arise and facilitating effective communication among teams. Additionally, the Strategic Operations Associate will support the Chief of Staff in managing logistics for employee operations, including overall engagement and experience design, streamlining onboarding processes and co-location efforts, and ensuring a seamless transition for new hires and teams. Overall, the Strategic Operations Associate is essential in fostering a collaborative and efficient operational environment that supports the organization’s strategic goals.

    The Strategic Operations Associate will report directly to the Strategic Operations Lead and will also work closely to support the Chief of Staff to the CEO.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key responsibilities and tasks of the Operations Associate include but are not limited to:

    Risant operations:

    • Provide support for day-to-day Risant operations, including collaborating with other functions within Risant, Kaiser Permanente, other Risant Health organizations, and external vendors to facilitate effective communication and support for Risant operations.

    Support Chief of Staff and Strategic Operations Lead in managing logistics for Risant Health operations, including employee onboarding processes and co-location efforts, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and teams.

    Special project support:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage project plans for initiatives within the Operations function (e.g. launch of new tools and capabilities, preparation for offsites).
    • Own execution of tasks, including quick-turnaround items and coordination of resources as necessary, to ensure successful delivery of projects.
    • Monitor progress of projects and initiatives, adjusting plans as necessary.
    • Co-develop and maintain trackers and score cards for operational team success.
    • Act as a versatile team member, providing support across various operational functions as needed, including troubleshooting issues and facilitating communication among teams.

    Analysis and execution support for Chief of Staff to the CEO and Strategic Operations Lead:

    • Support the Chief of Staff to the CEO in preparing materials for Board meetings
    • Support the development of leadership and employee engagement plans, including CEO communication, Town Halls, offsites and leadership co-locations.
    • Coordinate agendas and briefing materials for senior leadership meetings.
    • Support Chief of Staff in tracking and executing follow ups from leadership meetings and ad hoc requests.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business operations, with a proven track record of managing projects and driving operational efficiency.
    • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively and influence decision-making at higher organizational levels.
    • Familiarity with corporate support functions and services, including HR, finance, and IT, to effectively navigate and leverage these resources in support of operational initiatives.
    • Prior experience in the healthcare industry.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5+ years experience in business operations; experience with fast-paced startup or consulting environments is a plus
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and manage project plans, coordinate resources, and ensure timely execution of initiatives.
    • Familiarity with health provider and/or payer operations (particularly back and middle office functions)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • A versatile team player who can adapt to changing priorities and support various operational functions as needed

    Additional Information

    • This position has a preliminary projected target base salary of $89,167.00 - $117,700.00 which is subject to change as additional market data is acquired. The position is also eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive wellness, time off, savings and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees at Risant Health.
