    Job Description

    The Strategic Operations Associate will play a critical role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Operations function within Risant Health. This position is responsible for developing and managing project plans for key initiatives, coordinating resources and tasks to ensure successful project execution, continuously monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and objectives. Acting as a versatile team member, this role will provide support across multiple operational functions, troubleshooting issues as they arise and facilitate effective communication among teams. Additionally, the Strategic Operations Associate will support the Chief of Staff in managing logistics for employee operations, including overall engagement and experience design, streamlining onboarding processes and co-location efforts, and ensuring a seamless transition for new hires and teams. Overall, the Strategic Operations Associate is essential in fostering a collaborative and efficient operational environment that supports the organization’s strategic goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide day-to-day operational support across Risant Health, coordinating with internal teams, Kaiser Permanente, affiliated organizations, and external vendors.
    • Support logistics for employee onboarding, team co-locations, and other key operational transitions.
    • Manage special projects from planning to execution, including tool launches, team offsites, and cross-functional initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain trackers and scorecards to monitor operational performance.
    • Assist with preparation of materials for Board and senior leadership meetings, including agendas, briefings, and follow-ups.
    • Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives such as Town Halls and leadership events.
    • Serve as a flexible team member, stepping in to troubleshoot issues, coordinate resources, and support evolving priorities across the operations team.

    Experience & Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other related degree required.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business operations, with a proven track record of managing projects and driving operational efficiency required.
    • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively and influence decision-making at higher organizational levels required.
    • Familiarity with corporate support functions and services, including HR, finance, and IT, to effectively navigate and leverage these resources in support of operational initiatives required.
    • Prior experience in the healthcare industry required.
    • 5+ years’ experience in business operations; experience with fast-paced startup or consulting environments is a plus.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and manage project plans, coordinate resources, and ensure timely execution of initiatives preferred.
    • Familiarity with health provider and/or payer operations (particularly back and middle office functions) preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels preferred.
    • A versatile team player who can adapt to changing priorities and support various operational functions as needed preferred.

    • This position has a preliminary projected target base salary of $89,167.00 - $117,700.00 which is subject to change as additional market data is acquired. The position is also eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive wellness, time off, savings and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees at Risant Health.
