Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support and lead sourcing initiatives across approximately $100M in MRO and indirect spend. This role is pivotal in optimizing procurement strategies across 22 North American manufacturing sites, while also contributing to global sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of MRO categories— including industrial supplies, spare parts, safety supplies, and facility services—and will be adept at driving cost savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
• Lead and support sourcing projects for MRO and indirect categories, including industrial equipment, maintenance services, safety supplies, and facility management.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business goals, leveraging market intelligence, supplier capabilities, and total cost of ownership principles.
• Collaborate with plant maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to understand technical requirements and ensure sourcing solutions meet operational needs.
Supplier & Contract Management
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring alignment with legal standards and business objectives.
• Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, and service, using strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Prepare and present monthly KPI reports, including EBIT savings, working capital improvements, inflation tracking, and spend analysis.
• Monitor and report on preferred supplier utilization, contract compliance, and sourcing project outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with internal stakeholders across procurement, maintenance, engineering, and finance to drive sourcing initiatives and ensure alignment.
• Support global sourcing efforts by sharing best practices and participating in cross-regional projects.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of procurement experience, with a focus on MRO or indirect categories.
• Experience in negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Experience with sourcing tools and e-procurement platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of sourcing methodologies, supplier evaluation, and cost analysis techniques.
Preferred Experience:
• Familiarity with MRO supply chains, including OEM and aftermarket parts, industrial distribution, and service contracts.
• Exposure to chemical gas procurement or other technical indirect categories is a plus.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is targeted to be between $50,000 - $75,000 USD. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
